Well I can completely respect your opinion about prefering Barack to Bush. Lord knows I would prefer almost anyone over Bush (except McCain). My point, however, is that the way we created our government was to limit its scope. The founding fathers really knew that coups and destabilization were a real possibilty because the history of other countries. No one president should have that much power, even to do good, because it destablizes the entire system.

So if you make more money, you can help out the country a bit more by paying a bit more on the extra you make (not the entire amount, just whatever you make over 250k, so if you make 280k then you pay extra on 30k). It doesn’t just get dumped in the pockets of the less wealthy. They just pay less which frees them up to spend more on the products and services the wealthy and the less wealthy provide.

That’s not at all what he wants to do… that’s a gross misinterpretation. He’s having the wealthy pay a bit more taxes for the bit extra they make. It goes to the government, not the less-wealthy.

You’re not going to “pay the poor people.” You’re going to pay the government more than the poor people have to pay. We’re talking 3% more, as those making under 250k will pay 36% and those making over 250k will pay 39%, but only on the extra over 250k. So if you make 280k, you pay 36% on 250k and 39% on 30k. That extra you pay just goes to the government to be used for whatever (mostly military stuff these days). There are only about 5% of small business owners making over 250k…

I support Obama and I understand we need to fix the economy but for those of us who ARE making that kind of money; who by the way work VERY hard for it, should not have to pay the poor people. I see too many people who live shabby lives who I find to be very capable of working. But they choose not to, and now they want more gov’t handouts from our pockets instead of lifting a damn finger and WORKING. This year in the spirit of the political season I have decided to save money and try to do this whole candy thing Obama’s way. Instead of giving candy out I decided to try something different to show my willingness to learn and understand Obama’s new tax plan. I am going to take candy out of the kid’s bags who have a whole lot of candy in them and give it to the kid’s who were too lazy to hit as many houses. Candy redistribution is a great way to spread the wealth around.

ANYONE CAN WORK WITHOUT A LICENSE AS LONG AS THEY HAVE THE PERMISSION 2 WORK 4 A LICENSED PLUMER. I higher ppl everyday to work for me. They dont have a license but I do so that gives them the right 2 do the work. If something goes wrong the license holder is the 1 who is blamed.
